Touring Production Crew
Orlando, FL · tours with events Typically Thursday–Sunday work, Monday travel home · some stops run on different days
You're on the AV production crew that builds and strikes the show. Truss, lighting, audio, video, staging, cases on and off the truck. We run our own tour-grade rig and we train on it. You do not need to know everything, or anything about AV, to start. You do need to be reliable, easy to work with, and the kind of person who picks things up fast and then owns it. We want people who want to be there, learn, have fun, and take charge of their part of the show. Three to four spots on the crew, event to event through the season.
- Based in the Orlando area (required)
- Must tour on event weekends through the season, typically fly out Thursday, work Thursday through Sunday, fly home Monday; some stops run on different days (required)
- Lighting on Hog systems (Road Hog 4); audio on Allen & Heath consoles; Dante and networking knowledge is good to have
- A ground-stacked four-point truss system on manual hoists; cameras and the video switch on show days
- Unloading and loading the truck, and packing it to the documented truck pack
- Paid per work day, not travel days; flights covered, hotels covered (double occupancy), select meals catered on work days
- A typical weekend: load-in Thursday, show days Friday through Sunday, load-out Sunday night
- Lift, climb, and move cases and truss safely; safety-toe boots on truck and truss days
- Lighting, audio, video, or staging experience is a plus, not required; stagehand, rental house, church tech, or school theater all count
- Home during the week
